Feeling Great Culture Shock?

I have sympathetic responses towards Liu's experiences. I don't know how to describe my mood after reading Liu's story, it's quite complex. I'm.... I think staying with other Chinese is more relaxing and secure to Liu. He can relieve his stress, share his happiness and sadness with others easily, talk with others without worry about grammar mistakes, if he stay with other Chinese. It's only because they are Chinese. It's not a reason which can be explained clearly. Coming from the same country is good enough to Liu. He only wants to have something in common with someone, talk to someone and get understanding from someone.

Personally, I've had a similar experience. When I was sitting in the classrooms, only one foreign student which is me, I felt lonely and helpless sometimes. When I was taking part in a group discussion, I was nervous to speak up my ideas and cut some one's talking. When I was talking with an American classmate, I would worry about how could I continue the conversation. I can understand Liu exactly when I'm reading his story. I believe that some Chinese/foreign students must agree with me.

It's very happy to talk with people who come from the same country. They can be friends even strangers. I think the relationship is not important at all, because the only important thing is people who I talk to is come from the same country with me. I don't know why, maybe it's because the feeling is quit warm to me. Equality is the point.
